PSA: Once you turn 50, get your damn shingles vaccine. Like, right after you catch your breath from blowing out all of those birthday candles. Trust me: you do not, and I repeat, you DO NOT want to get real, actual shingles. Learn from my cautionary tale, aka the worst 2 weeks of my life.
All over my FB people talking about their bad experiences with shingles vax and dissuading each other from getting it! We need to give people real info on how to mitigate the symtoms caused by vaccines because vaccines are always better than meeting a virus unprepared. Yet drs aren't coaching ppl

Yep. Once you get to a certain age - or if you get a certain injury - it just doesn’t make sense anymore. I had a full shoulder reconstruction (rotator cuff + labrum tears) in my mid-30s, and after that it didn’t make sense to lift heavy. It’s all lighter weight/higher reps for me now.
