Also take his actions and put in today world. Ask yourself, would you believe him if his lawyer said he's mentally ill? will you feel pitty for him for everything he did? Will you believe the news and influencer who tell the stories? Will you believe also what the cops said?

So take what you will from what we have on records of these killers and remember Hollywood will do anything to tell a good story even in documentaries. So becareful and don't say "well TV show did it so must be canon"

We only know what's true through court hearing, police records, interviews, and gossip of those times. You also have to take into consideration how those people also exaggerate it. We also don't know 💯 if he faked being mentally ill or not. We don't know much about his life other than again gossip.
