"accountability" as it's currently constructed is literally impossible. the only way to be held accountable is to resign from public life, apologize profusely with no protest whatsoever, and announce your status as Problematic to everyone everywhere forever, AND EVEN THAT'S NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR MANY.

i'm just so fucking sick of seeing trans people get systematically unpersoned and treated like vermin by so-called allies (and even other trans people!) and watch that unpersoning be uncritically accepted if not actively cheered on over shit that is categorically nobody else's god damned business
