In a Flemish folktale, a farmhand went to a pond and asked the water spirit who dwelt there to bake him a waffle. Back on the farm, a waffle was waiting for him. He returned to the pond and she dragged him into the water. He's still there, and the spirit can often be heard singing.

It has come to my attention that I’m not actually a “Type A” person/parent, but it is in fact *the anxiety*. And my three little people mercilessly beat any Type A that was left of me after being properly medicated.🫠
