I’m terrible at bios. I love cooking, single malts, IPAs, my husband, my friends, and using public policy to help people have better lives. I hate Trump. And Musk. Abortion is health care. The patriarchy sucks. My children are amazing.

The president is sending the military to control American cities and if you're a reporter who's framing that illegal power grab as "pushing the boundaries of constitutionality" or "acting boldly to fight crime" or whatever, please go find another line of work where you won't get us all killed.

Somewhere in the US there’s a guy named Edmund who gave MY cell number instead of his to some candidate and now I’m getting tons of random candidate texts with a friendly “Hey Edmund” asking for money. I mean, ok Edmund, we obvi have similar politics, but really, dude? #NGPVANfail

Right now, Dems are hiding in their offices, scrolling their phones fearfully, wondering "how are voters going to feel about the National Guard being deployed?"

The right, meanwhile, is vigorously *attempting to shape* how voters feel about it, filling every medium with coordinated propaganda.

Three things made the US a rich and powerful nation: the rule of law, its science & innovation system, and openness to foreign talent. Remarkable how Trump has taken a sledgehammer to all three. No enemy of this country could do more.

If you aren’t willing to publicly defend the principle of academic freedom, and the broad social value of open inquiry, you really have no business being a college or university president in a free society.

It's time to stop calling it the Trump
“administration" and call it what it is: a regime. You know, like "authoritarian regime" and "fascist regime." Labels matter.
Let's get this one right. @bcdreyer.social @meidastouch.com

Dear Sen. #Schumer,
No, I will not donate to the DSCC. The committee is already bankrupt, apparently. And while I’m no fan of Putin, his words to Trump, “this may be the right approach, but we have certain conditions” is EXACTLY what we were begging you to say to this horrific CR. Shame on you.

Why is anyone still asking “are we in a constitutional crisis?”

My only question is why there is no emoji of the Constitution being put through a paper shredder.

Dear Apple, The new iOS 18 Mail interface is awful, annoying (a blinking inbox just because I have unread messages?!??? 😡), and the individual email icons are misapplied yet there is no way to manually re-assign them. Almost ready to go Android after this one. Ugh.
