WBA, St Pauli, decent music, good reads, cycling and other lost causes. Getting on a bit.
If not child-centred, what is education for? What or whom -‘centred’ should it be?

I saw Booker T and the MGs in 1970 in Birmingham. I only knew about Time is Tight at the ‘time.’ Cropper’s playing that night was a revelation. It has stayed in my memory all this time!
Very sad to learn of his passing.

A tricky one, I’d imagine. Full recovery often takes longer than you’d imagine. I’ve personal experience of people seeming to be out of the woods, but finding out later that there’s still a way to go. And it was a very stressful job.

I thought the same re: Wicky. In any event, the board are showing that they aren’t being influenced unduly by the social media and a few crowd voices to sack Mason. Let’s see what happens.

It was strange. I can only imagine they maybe felt they had rushed into it when the Wicky deal fell through.
And, given that he hadn’t worked since, maybe Mowbray’s health was still a concern.

I have it on good authority that he was an absolutely shit teacher.

Thanks for your response, more reasonable than the ‘only the Lib Dems can beat Reform’ stuff. I just think that in these unusual circumstances, the gestures by Greens and Independents to stand aside were right and proper.
But we are where we are.

Sad to see the usual bullshit about ‘only the Lib Dems can beat Reform.’
This was a ward held by a member of the Broxtowe Alliance until his untimely death. So your assertion is nonsense .
And doubly sad that, in the tragic circumstances of this by election, you don’t have the decency to stand aside

Bielik’s composure at the back, and Maja’s intelligence up top made all the difference. Campbell had a storming half as well.
We were a completely different team second half.

A great episode of this fantastic podcast series.

It would be just like us to win tonight, save Mason’s job for a bit longer and then do a 0-0 or even 0-1 against Swansea on Saturday.
2-1 Baggies.
I’m not confident either.

Mine, in Beeston, Notts is similar. They have a call waiting queuing system from 8 in the morning, same day call back, good, responsive GPs, specialist nurses and even a physiotherapist. It’s so good I almost feel embarrassed when I hear other people’s horror stories.

Difficult to say. He did well to keep St Pauli in the Bundesliga last year after Hürzeler left, but this year is a big test for him. Struggling atm. If he does keep them up there’s a good chance bigger clubs will look at him.
November 23, 2025 at 10:36 AM
I think it would be half of a good signal of intention to get rid of him in Jan. The other half would be signing someone better.

Yes. Pauli on the slide atm, low on confidence. Need something tomorrow just to turn the tide.

Molumby’s sending off changed the game, though we started panicking as soon as Cov pulled one back. Really poor game management, after such a promising start.
Very frustrating
November 22, 2025 at 9:35 PM
Yeah. You could feel the sense of panic when Cov got their first goal. And then Molumby did his thing and it was effectively all over, even though we were still winning at that point.
