It would take a two-word amendment to 42 U.S.C. § 1983 to subject ICE agents and other federal law enforcement officers to the same liability for constitutional violations that local and state officers currently face.
If Congress actually cared about what it's seeing, it could pass that overnight.

I think it’s important to point out: ICE does NOT have the same authority as a police officer. They do NOT have the power to enforce laws, only to engage in their specific tasks.
IE: they don’t do traffic, etc. impeding traffic is not a penalty ICE can enforce against

Her vehicle's right front panel cleared the ICE agent who didn't open fire until after he was at the side of her vehicle. He used deadly force on a fleeing individual, which is against DHS policy. This is murder. He needs to be arrested.

Her death gutted me like nothing else (except for viewing the 1/6 insurrection in real time). I saw Lawrence O’Donnell last night; the bullets were fired at such close range that they literally spun her body around so she was facing backwards in her seat; I’ll never be able to unsee that horror.

Thank God there is video and we don’t have only Kristi Noem’s lies about this - which she likely got from the agents’ supervisor. If there were no videos, as is the case with many criminal incidents, just imagine how big the lies get.
