Hello Bluesky! You all seem by and large like wonderful people. I hope I come off as someone who is earnestly trying to be kind and thoughtful and hopefully I earn your trust that if a post ever comes off as not that, that that isn’t the way I intended it.
The reason it takes me so long to get through my game list is because each time a game is popular I have to work with Ashley Judd and Wesley Crusher to figure out how the game works at a circuitry level to figure out if it stimulates the septal area like a psychotropic reaction.

Takes forever.

The conclusion this article comes to with respect to how to deal with problematic art is compelling. Too often people get put through horrific things and then at the end (in cases where it’s not their request which is obviously different) it sometimes seems like their effort is also taken away with…
The New Version of Kill Bill Is Both More Satisfying and More Disturbing
The Whole Bloody Affair changed the way I saw Tarantino’s epic revenge film—and so did the reporting about its making.

Rarely do this but I needed caffeine so I stopped by McDonald’s for breakfast and the guy in front of me’s order was still there.

Ohana it was 152 dollars worth of sausage McMuffins. I almost got a photo but it was cleared as I was taking it. Amazing start to the day.

Eldest has been getting into fitness which, good for him, but also now he’s just walking around the house leaned back with his shirt open so he’s showing off his abs like some hedonistic Superman and I’m at the stage of “you have to promise me you’re not gonna do that at school, right? … RIGHT?!”

I know I started out dunking on Welcome to Derry but if anything happens to this kid so help me…

Oh little berserker piglet would have filled that well with so many secrets it could have had just two drops in it and a thirsty crow could have drunk out of it

What is this amateur hour one like equals one whatever…

I’ve made almost 7k posts, for every one unliked I’ll copy over full one of my old Reddit political posts from 6 years ago, with citations list

Let’s stress test this mf’er DOWN!

Bring the same expectations for things working the way you consistently expect them to that you brought for the Microsoft Kinect

I am a grown ass almost middle age man who bought comics with the money I made at a good job and I just desperately flung the comic I was reading in the waiting room into my bag because someone else walked into the empty room.

Good grief

Had a rough day yesterday sat down on steps in exhaustion and just being overwhelmed by everything needing unrelenting responsibility. Too grumpy by half, admittedly.

Very young Daughter gave me a hug and said “I just wish the world was easier”.

Yeah peanut, me too.

In retrospect it’s kinda weird that we were all like “you know what would be a common reference most viewers of Nickelodeon’s Doug would get… quails”

The Matrix but they’re all wearing bathrobes instead

He pulls a knife, you pull a pizza
He makes it thin crust, you make it more like a pumpkin pie

That’s the Chicago way

Dreamkid is like the John Williams of 80s synthwave
Look, all I’m saying is that this fight is definitely between two undercover cops and some suited up gangsters 🪩 👊🏻🍸

Accidentally left office too early to pick up kids so stopped by the discount bookstore to flip through comics. They had a silver age Superman for $5 but it was listed “as is” because the cover was torn and I wondered what the other option was? Would it come with a genie that would untear the cover?

When the phrase “a well functioning machine has redundant systems” is used that should not apply to red tape and yet… <sigh> here I am copying the same info from one spreadsheet looked at group A to another spreadsheet looked at by group B

Before everyone gets excited, if you read the article him “forgetting who he is” is just “why wasn’t he more racist and toxic to Mamdani”. Read the articles folks

Fun way to survive “the Exhaustion”: when your kid wakes up, groggy and hair tousled, you can tell them “happy Prophecy Day!” And then after every thing they do look pleased or alarmed by turn, muttering forebodingly “so that is what shall come to us this day” as you hand them their eggs

Wow there are way more paranormal activity movies than I would have thought…

I’ll tell you why it’ll never replace us. Kids were goofing around trying to make it dumber and typed “become toast” and it said “I’m ToastGPT!” instead of the obviously better “I’m ChatGPToast”

Watching the prisoner (1967) is an exercise in thinking someone must be the most brilliant person ever to write this and then you get to the last episode with the ape mask and you’re like… oh… ohhhh… that was me projecting a bunch of stuff on a smart but also planet of the apes driven cast

So the work chat thing we use has suggested auto replies (I assume based on AI at some level). Anyway someone said they were feeling sick today and the first response I got was “oh, ok”.

So either a bunch of people nowadays are jerks or AI is getting real tired of our shit.

I feel like I should have read the EULA more carefully when I got my pizza personalized.

I’m worried the BookIt’s they’re gonna suggest will be based on my browsing habits.

I’m skeptical that Bluesky has no algorithm. When I joined? Blocked left and right. Now? Nothing. I’m pleasing to all who see me with my likes in the ones and twos. Got a post that somehow got 40 likes? Getting blocked again. Something made my viewership spike into the folks that don’t like my stuff

Watching dead like me again as work noise. If I ever got the chance to write I think I would like to write a “person realizes something about life through supernatural means” story. DLM, Goethe’s Faust, Bedazzled… they vary wildly in quality but had a good effect on young me. I’d like to pass it on.
