So incredibly excited to be spending my summer in Derry. This is my first time reading IT by Stephen King. It has already grabbed hold of me so tightly. 🎈 #stephenking #itthebook #whatimreading #summerbookclub #coffeeandbooks #booksky

@libro.fm Are your books organized by labeled chapters? I am noticing that my books are listed as tracks, but I am unable to see chapter labels. I bounce back and forth between audio and other formats, which makes it difficult to find my place. Is this an option somewhere?

People spend a lot of time wondering why the left is worse at using independent media to control the national narrative.

A useful exercise is to ask why the left is also worse at selling snake oil and pyramid schemes, because I think the reasons are basically exactly the same.

PSA that we can support both our independent bookshop AND public library ❤️

They play such a vital role in our local communities, and they both need our support to stay open and keep offering valuable resources.

It's not either/or, but both/and 🥰

Reminder that instead of attending Donald Trump's first address to Congress tonight I'll be hosting an open-to-all town hall on Facebook live at 6 PM PT. You don't need a Facebook account – or to be an Oregonian – to tune in. Look forward to seeing you all soon.
Oregon Statewide Town Hall with Senator Wyden
Event by People's Town Hall and Senator Ron Wyden on Tuesday, March 4 2025 with 2.5K people interested and 1.7K people going. 51 posts in the discussion.

March TBR includes finishing the Heartstopper series (I’m obsessed), finishing the Legendborn Cycle, Wild Dark Shore, Flowers for Algernon (book club), and Strange Pictures. I’m a mood reader, so this is a loose plan with no accountability. #booksky

ANYWAY, did you know there's an extension you can put on Chrome that will connect with your local library system and when you go look at a book, say on AMZ, it will tell you if that book exists in the library system and if it's available?

It's literally called Library Extension.

As a certain ~date~ given by a certain ~corporation~ approaches, after which users will no longer be able to download their ebooks...

We're DRM-free, meaning you actually own your audiobooks. You can download the files whenever, & listen to them wherever.

I know, I know...not ebooks. But still 😉

Coffee shop date with myself to do some “homework” before I go see this movie with my friend on Saturday! The story was great, and so were the spiced orange mocha and muffin. ☕️ 📕

I inherited this Thanksgiving cactus from my Grandma. She surprised me with a February bloom. I think the universe knew I needed a moment of wonder and beauty. 🩷

Dorothy B. Porter changed libraries 💜

The Dewey Decimal System used to only have two classifications for Black people: 325 (colonization) & 326 (slavery). Each book by a Black person was put into one of these classifications. A book of poetry? Classified as colonization.

Enter Dorothy B. Porter 🧵
