I worked on/supported some of these programs and the past 6 weeks have just been devastating.
NEW: One million children will go untreated for severe malnutrition, up to 166,000 people will die from malaria and 200,000 more children will be paralyzed by polio over the next decade, internal memos estimated.

This has been an absolute nightmare.
Even before its website was taken down by Trump, the vast system of global aid that USAID manages had already been plunged into chaos by an “unexplained and abrupt pause with no guidance [that] has left all our partners around the world high and dry,” a USAID official told @propublica.org
