I don't know where this revisionism has come from about the suffragettes - people saying "if the suffragettes were around today, they'd be considered terrorists."

The suffragettes were arrested and tortured, sexually assaulted and beaten by the state. They *were* considered terrorists!

Also, for transparency: I said “fuck this” to undergrad (English) literature because of that shitty, unrealistic format that would only lead to me despising every book ever.

Even when I was starting uni [redacted] years ago, we didn’t find out the texts until Week 1. Which meant a horrible experience of reading entire novels in a week. Compared to year 12 when we were told them all the year before and could enjoy them at leisure over summer.
Changes the relationship.

I have to submit paperwork for an upcoming PhD milestone. Depending on which part of the university website I read, it’s due one week in advance, two weeks in advance, or three weeks in advance.
