No Christmas decorations will be put up this year unfortunately. The loft door is borked and the tree and decorations are in the loft. I am compensating by wearing glittery silver socks today. No more frivolity for the rest of December though 🎄🔔🌟🚫

Important note. My original picture choices were two fictional bands from television's Brookside. A short-lived girl group from the 1980s and Frank Rogers' Merseybeat combo The Scottie Dogs. Google AI says that neither existed. The photo represents the policing of AI which is a veritable smog.
A policeman directs traffic during London's Great Smog of 1952. There doesn't appear to be any traffic apart from a distant Hackney cab.
