This is the highest the unemployment rate has been since October 2021, when the economy was still emerging from the COVID pandemic.

Congress must reclaim its constitutional responsibility to regulate trade, and end Trump's trade wars.

Far too few Republicans in Congress are willing to stand up to Trump, or to stop his tariffs and lower Americans' costs.

Our economy will suffer until they find a backbone.

This move may alleviate some of the cost increases Trump caused, but it won't end the larger problems of rising inflation, business uncertainty, and economic damage done by Trump’s tariffs.

Only Congress can do that by putting a stop to Trump's trade wars once and for all.

Republicans just want credit for something they think the Supreme Court will force them to do anyway, after oral arguments suggested the Court will rightly rule that Trump's tariffs are illegal.

Trump is keeping most of his tariffs in place now, and even planning new ones.

After getting drubbed in elections because voters are furious that Trump broke his promises to fix inflation immediately, the White House is trying to cast this tariff retreat as a "pivot to affordability."

That's a bunch of hogwash and nonsense.

Anything less leaves American families, our federal workforce, and our democracy at risk.

The American people deserve responsible legislation that ends the shutdown, prevents skyrocketing increases in health care costs, ensures our public servants receive the pay and protections they are legally owed, and upholds the Constitution.
