NEW: Florida has filed its response, saying all people held at the Everglades detention camp are being held under a 287(g) agreement with ICE — but the documents they filed in court DO NOT include any such agreement with the Florida Division of Emergency Management, which is operating the facility.
The federal government and the state of Florida failed to produce legal agreements giving them authority to detain immigrants at Alligator Alcatraz, which continues to operate as an extrajudicial black site. Today is the deadline set in federal court for agreements to be shown.

This is right, but true of everything Trump. The belief in election integrity was set on fire to help Trump wish away his loss. Public health was set on fire to help Trump try to wish away covid. At a core level, it’s his brand, and his enablers always say it’s okay to humor him.
