We're going to do our best to keep serving our communities, but healthcare institutions rely on government funding. Shame on the GOP and Trump for shutting down government services.
Nurses for America Statement 10/01 on Government Shutdown and Impact on Health Care Access

As nurses, we stand with our colleagues across medicine, hospitals, telehealth, and public health in warning that this shutdown endangers patients and communities.

Solid take, no notes
The harsh crackdown on anyone who doesn't properly mourn Charlie Kirk and pretend he was a good guy is polarizing me more and more in the opposite direction.

He was a vile, hateful little man who wanted people like me lynched. The more you scream at me for pointing that out, the more I'll say it.

Got to see the show in SB, check him out when he's near you.

He's one of the most clever comedians I've experienced; stringing together math, political commentary, immigrant experiences, and recent events into sets that may get him banned from certain venues will delight all in attendance💚🍉

I both rue, and lament the fact that I was born into this awful timeline and not one where pumpkin spice and the Spice Girls happened at the same time resulting in a promotional remix titled "Pumpkin Spice Up Your Life" featuring Sporty Spice jump kicking a pumpkin spice latte toward the camera.

I don’t have a copy yet but I am so stoked to read The Glade!

Naseem Jamnia’s last book, The Bruising of Qilwa, was awesome.
Yesterday was release day for THE GLADE!! I'm so proud of this book and so happy it'll be in the hands of kids. I hope the ones who need it find it.

I still have physical ARCs if any reviewers/educators/librarians would like them!!

This is why your trans friends/family/kids are scared, depressed and suicidal. There’s nothing wrong with trans people, but the world we’re trying to exist within is pretty fucked up to us pretty much all the time.
As if we didn't have *enough* institutional transphobia to worry about, the US now has its own version of the Cass Report, baselessly contesting the efficacy of transition care without even daring to name the author(s).

The global trans panic is aiming for total and utter trans epistemicide.

His grandson is the current President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky.
