It’s too cold in NY even for penguins. The Long Island Aquarium brought 20 penguins indoors due to frigid temperatures. South African black-footed penguins prefer milder weather, so when temperatures drop below 30 degrees, they’re moved inside. (ABC News)

film was not cheap, both to buy and develop.
you also had to ration 24-36 opportunities to take a picture, but you had pretty much forgotten what they were weeks/months later when you finally got the film back

Like, how we used to be able to walk right up to the gate to meet our family coming off a flight.
