Very strange match. Looked so on top in the first half but in the second so reserved to the point of almost scared? Just a very odd, very poor performance in that second half.

Not a good look for Martinelli at the end. Deserves the criticism that will come his way.

Not at our best there. Might have taken a point before the game but with a man advantage for just over a half, has to be seen as two points dropped.

Chelsea in fairness were very good. Game was very bitty though and the ref didn’t help with dishing out cards so early on.

One of the most complete performances against a top side I’ve seen from us in that second half.

Declan Rice was on another level and the options from the bench really show our strength in depth now.

A lovely evening.

Harry, what’s the score?

Just a really solid win yet again. Another clean sheet. A couple of goals for Merino which will give him confidence if he’s got a few games starting up to for us.

Quite enjoyable this being good lark.

This Sky Sports Multi View is actually horrendous and I can’t work out for to just put the match on by itself (if that is even an option).

Cracking win. Looked dangerous throughout and finally got the breakthrough which opened the floodgates.

The Big Man Up Top should hopefully take some confidence from getting a couple and yet another clean sheet.

Bring on Palace at the weekend.

Huge win at a ground we’ve historically struggled at, especially with Liverpool dropping points yesterday.

Catching up on MOTD and looks like Liverpool received a bit of a pummelling; Palace are going to be a danger for most sides this season.

So we have a chance to take advantage, but of course we’re going to a ground where we do not have a good record at all.

We’ll see.

Disappointing result. Team selection was too cautious, as the second half post-changes made obvious.

Still, a point against City is always a positive thing. Saka being back (and being dangerous straight away) is brilliant, as is Martinelli staking his claim again.

Hard fought win against a good Bilbao side. Another clean sheet (Mosquera impressive again) and good to see subs making an impact for us- the benefit of a deeper squad!

Feeling good about City on Sunday.

Really satisfying performance. Madueke was excellent on the right, Zubimendi getting his first couple of goals, and Mosquera really assured at the back.

City next week!

Was a tough one to take yesterday. Played well enough for a result and the game was decided by a piece of absolute quality (GGs to Dom).

Still seem to be lacking conviction and directness when we need it. Martinelli really tapering off last 6-12 months.

A #AFC win followed by Tommy Lad finally breaking his duck on the PGA Tour. A good sporting weekend.

Lots of Barcelona match squads will include Toni Fernández and Guillermo Fernández this season. The two teenagers are cousins, born less than a month apart. The really weird thing is that not only are the players two fathers brothers, but their two mothers are sisters too.

Very enjoyable as an Arsenal fan listening to that last ten minutes of today’s @footballramble.bsky.social

Fair play to the lads that they wouldn’t have seen it coming, but look forward to @lukeaaronmoore.bsky.social apologising to all Arsenal fans in tomorrow’s Preview Show (right, Luke?).

Feels very good to steal Eze under the noses of the other ones. He’s a top player and it’s clear we’ve been lacking a bit of spark moving forward. Excellent signing.

Fingers crossed he doesn’t pull something in the qualifier for Palace tonight.

Squad is looking bloated so sales needed.

Actually don’t think the Madueke potential signing is a bad one at all. We need depth in the wide areas and he’s shown decent signs of life whilst being young enough to improve.

Fans wouldn’t be complaining as much if we’d already signed a striker.

Agreed. Such an easy out for the club (not that he should have been playing for a while now anyway, and yes I understand the potential legal issues).

Just sack the fucker off and cleanse your club of such a vile stain

Shameful from the club. Even if they didn’t want to become embroiled in a legal battle for suspending / terminating him during the duration of the original contract he signed, there’s a convenient ‘out’ when it expires in 26 days time, where doing absolutely nothing would result in a clean break.

Just a lack of cutting edge across both matches where we created chances to score more than one goal.

PSG are very good (if quite unlikeable) so fair play to them.

What an extraordinary game of football.

What I wouldn't give for a mostly uneventful 2-0 Arsenal win tomorrow.

Outrageous tie between Inter and Barca. Great entertainment.

Now if we can just shithouse our way to a 2-0 win in Paris tomorrow, that would be great.

Disappointing result and performance, especially second half. First half was actually quite good, in particular showing the benefit of Partey allowing Rice to roam forward and make those runs.

However, sloppy again defensively and I am getting concerned about Saliba’s concentration last few games

Could have got an equaliser, equally could have conceded a couple more. Overall a fair result.

A big ask to go to Paris and win, but do feel it will be different with Partey in the team so Rice isn’t as shackled.

Have to believe!

Hell of a start from PSG for the first 15 or so with a gut punch of a goal out the traps.

But then steady improvement as we went along, personified by Timber who was really struggling but by the end starting to get really tight and limit Kvaratskhelia’s influence.

Big 45 incoming.
