I've been on the record that we should not care about the word "value" in MVP and should just give it to who we think the best player is. There's already an award for best QB: All Pro recognition at the position. I think it's silly to define an award in such a way that only one position can win it
Saquon Barkley's season is the exact reason the NFL could use some sort of Most Outstanding Player award. I don't think a RB can be the most "valuable" player, by no fault of their own. But there should be a way to acknowledge that he's been the story of this season.

I had an MBA professor say that on average we fire employees 6 months too late. Nowhere is that more apparent than with NFL coaches.
There needs to be a market correction to firing sooner, especially with an incoming rookie QB.
