Probably the best Santa in a movie
A ★★★★ review of Miracle on 34th Street (1947)
This movie’s inherent niceness overcame the fact that it’s basically an ad for Macy’s

Anyone who’s proud of working excessive hours is not someone you want to work for or with. Also, that’s just a sign they have poor time management skills.

I have models I’ve painted for like 8 hours and I think they still look terrible. I have some I painted for 30 minutes and they’re among my favorites. Sometimes it’s there and sometimes it isn’t.

Every day there’s something I’d love to talk to him about. Every day. But talking to an app instead would just hollow out my soul and make that loss mean nothing. We can’t flip on the sociopath switch and just pretend. If we do that then our lives and the lives of others have literally no meaning.

At some point I realized even if everything stopped I’d still never get to everything on earth I want to check out. So instead I just play/watch/listen to things I already love. And you know what? It’s been making me pretty happy so far.

I appreciate how big a dick Judd Hirsch can be that he had me siding with Tim Allen
A ★★½ review of The Santa Clause (1994)
I’m glad I was never a dad in the 90s because having a job you had to go to was apparently the worst sin one could commit. Or to let yourself go and get a little fat and stop shaving. Huge sins. The o...

I don’t understand why everyone loves this movie so much.
A ★★★ review of Elf (2003)
Answers the question, “what if Santa had an idiot son who sucked?”

Yeah, who would guess Greg Land would plagiarize something, lol

I was going to collect the omnibuses since I prefer hardcovers, but apparently Greg Land plagiarized the cover artwork on volume 2 so it immediately vanished, never to return.

Yeah, I completely agree there, even if Isolation was too hard for its own good. I have my first print trade of the Dark Horse series and that recolored Omnibus from Marvel as well. Did Verheiden write the 2nd series with the airbrushed artwork?

For sure. I guess there are modules that have Colonial Marines in them but I don’t have any of those.

It’s also very much all results of rolls when encountering a xeno are bad, up to instant death (or incapacitation if the GM is feeling nice.) And the creature is REALLY hard to kill. At half health it runs away and heals to full after a single turn. Plus its health is 3-5x a human’s health.

Still getting into it, haven’t played a game yet. I like the lore dumps. Morse (the lone survivor of 3) wrote a book the companies instantly banned that accidentally started an alien worshipping cult. So if you’re sick of making your hidden traitor “well they work for the company,” here you go.
