“The New York Times collaborated with a white nationalist eugenicist hacker and agreed to keep his identity a secret to publish a Zohran Mamdani hit piece” is a way bigger story than “18 year old Zohran Mamdani ticked ‘African American’ on his Columbia application because he was a citizen of Uganda”

If you’ve never played The Banner Saga Trilogy oh my god are you missing out. Made by Mass Effect devs? Check. Oregon Trail Turn-Based-Combat where your decisions matter? Check. Just replayed it. On retrospect I think they nailed it with BS2. BS3 has great atmosphere but BS2 just has the sauce

I’m still fighting to write. I’ve delved into Haiku as a way to escape into something. Michigan is kind of a perfect place for Haiku: at LCC we have a Japanese garden where I meditate and write haiku. I ride my bike to work now down the river trail. Touching grass everywhere I can

I’ve been off BlueSky for a bit but as someone who works in politics there is something primal that activates my brain when I’m listening to Miss the Rage. It is maybe the most relatable campaign song I’ve ever heard.

While Mass Effect 1 might be the definitive Springtime game, Mass Effect 2 and 3 are both summer and fall games.

I will also accept ME1 as a winter game and ME3 as a Fall game, but I still think 2 is best suited for the summer.

Trump has a long history of bragging about how he and his rich friends can rush in and buy things when markets tank. No wonder he's perfectly happy with your 401k getting crushed.
Trump says things are 'going very well' after worst stock market drop in years over tariffs
President Donald Trump is sounding an upbeat note about his tariffs even as the stock market reacted by falling more than 1,600 points.

When I die and am buried in a mausoleum I want the Mass Effect Codex guy to narrate my life. Just put him on a loop and have his dulcet undertones, his booming voice, his quirky cadence carry my fondest memories to the great-wherever. I don’t even know his name he is just the Codex manifest to me

We don't just need a 57 state party strategy—we need 57 state party strateg-IES.

The fight is different in each state and territory.

Democrats must build 57 unique plans to recruit strong candidates, organize year-round, and communicate on every platform. This is how we win.

Happy Speaker Election Day! Remember to tell all your friends about how Mike Johnson looks like Pierre Poilievre who also kind of looks like Mateusz Morawiecki. The right wing certainly has a type?

I am staring at my PlayStation and digesting the Nepalese food I had for dinner. It is dark and cold and I must go downstairs to count ten thousand random numbers for ten thousand minutes straight. I am crying until the controller starts whispering: Un jour je serai de retour près de toi.

I have what is both an implacable, maybe inevitable desire to shitpost alongside a deep, equally implacable concern surrounding the permanence of the internet. When I die, will I be a caricature of half-baked thoughts or by creating this caricature am I dooming myself to choking on my own feet?

Am I hard at work? Of course. It is the ‘daytime’. The spreadsheets call. They demand I rattle my fingers on my number pad until they are fat with numbers and understanding. I’m the Rachmaninoff of excel. I am nursing a coffee and want to go back to bed. But the dog threw up on the sheets. Salud!

There is going to be a lot of finger-pointing and blame-gaming and I just want to be out in front saying that is a lot of bullshit and we need to take time and listen to all perspectives and acknowledge that a lot of things need to change when ‘28 rolls around.
Hasan Piker rightly pushes back on the idea that the Democrats simply need their own Joe Rogan, telling CNN "It's 100% a policy thing," calling for "real left-wing economic populist messaging instead of purposely avoiding that stuff because they're terrified of upsetting their corporate donors."

The Handmaid's Tale is a good book. But did you know that there's a book written by a Black woman about a post-apocalyptic Earth heavily affected by climate change and societal decline. The book was published in 1993, but is set in 2024 following a presidential election 👀 #BookSky #BlackBookSky
