I think my partner saw @bikesd.bsky.social riding down 30th yesterday and said "That looks like fun." And today I coaxed her into calling Newsom's office to urge him to sign SB 79. I'm seeing a window of opportunity here.

We have two very exciting events happening tomorrow!

10 AM - 12:30 PM Fairmount Avenue Audit (City Heights)! We'll break up into groups and report on walking/biking conditions + make recommendations on how it can be improved

3:30 PM Welcome CityNerd to SD Bike Ride!

See y'all then!

I was at a workshop held by @bikesd.bsky.social to brainstorm ways to improve El Cajon Blvd and Councilmember Elo-Rivera was there. Just want to say he talked about how he bikes regularly for commutes and honestly I appreciate when govt leaders who use the infrastructure they vote on. We need more!

Totally hear you—bike lanes should actually keep people safe. Although Harbor Dr. isn’t in my district, I’ll have my team connect with the two Council Offices it crosses. Appreciate you raising this. Myself and my team share similar experiences in other parts of the city.

More delays for route 215 means more buses and operators (which we can’t afford) are needed for current service levels, which means cuts and in increase in traffic on Park Blvd and El Cajon Blvd.

Every level of CA government is sprinting backwards on climate resiliency and livable cities.

Update: San Diego Mayor Staff is working to obtain a permit from Caltrans to remove dedicated bus lanes from part of Park Blvd. Says congestion at freeway on-ramp is motivation.

The Prado bridge was closed to vehicles for San Diego Pride this weekend and it was heavily used by pedestrians. It should be like this every day @cmwhitburnd3.bsky.social @seanelorivera.bsky.social @sandiegomts.bsky.social @circulatesd.bsky.social @bikesd.bsky.social
