#CanIHazPDF In Aspects of the Tain ( 1992) Jim Mallory has a chapter in which he argues that the descriptions of swords etc in the Tain are anachronistic, being early med weapons rather than Iron Age.
Would anyone have a PDF of that chapter at all that I can pop up for the students?

All right, just turned in the last strips of my second year on FLASH GORDON. That's 730 installments in the bag -- appearing in a rough average of 1.5 panels per strip, I've drawn Flash about 1,095 times. Still takes me a couple tries to get his hair right. Tomorrow we start on year three ⚡

Puts me in mind of Garner’s Elidor. When I was a kid, I took it in my stride, but as I got older the, thing which stuck with me was the idea of a deserted urban/suburban landscapes can become fantastical and weird.

My only goal here is to lock harper, turner and Schwarber into a hitting death spiral where they feed off each other’s inability to hit in the postseason for the reminder of their time in Philadelphia and never get a sniff of a World Series.

Right now I would be happy if all they heard were boos.

It is if you want to keep the most expensive contracts in Philly, let everyone else go (also sign schwarbs for a ridiculous some of money) and then diligently plan to win nothing and keep said expensive players trapped in non-competitive hell until they retire.
