I think that’s the one that Sven runs. I forget his last name now. I interviewed him up there probably more than ten years ago when he was just getting it going. Super cool guy from Switzerland. Highly skilled and very adventurous. He also owns the hostel in town. It’s quite the view up there.

Fairbanks: It looks like Barbara Haney is going back to the private sector. @grarmstrong.bsky.social has a solid lead in the three way race, and Naomi Hewitt and Melissa Burnett are running neck and neck with Hewitt just a hair ahead at present. I did not expect that one to be so close.

I have my dad’s earliest drafting and engineering tools. 1950s. My older kid is now an engineer. I told him “There aren’t many things that mean much to me and you can toss whatever you want when I’m gone. But I want you to hang on to these tools. Because your grandfather would be proud of you.”

I took my kid to the pound to get a puppy when he was 13. He picked one out, looked at me, and said “I’m naming him Loki.”

Loved that dog. Scrappy little husky. He was a runner. I regularly took him on 30-40 mile mountain bike rides and he never got tired. Still miss him every single day.

Yet again thinking about this Ditko cover which remains maybe the most relatable piece of art I’ve ever seen.

The cover of Haunted no. 3 where a titularly haunted guy is running toward the viewer saying, "Why? Why? Why? Why?" While a banner above him says, "You BETTER believe "THIS IS HOW IT IS." And there's a cemetery with a caped goblin and a ghost or something behind him.

You were off by just one letter. It’s nemeses. Given how nemesis is one of the more commonly misspelled words, and how you were going for the rarely used plural version, I’d say you did pretty well.
