Immediately thought of Russian sabotage, but then remembered that National Rail is perfectly capable of fucking things up all by themselves.

While Bluesky looks like other social apps on the surface, it’s actually quite different. It’s an open network.

I blogged about it here:

1/2 The tone of this debate makes it clear just how legitimate and accepted it is to 'other' and dismiss Muslims in the public debate in the current climate.

Not only did we get Muslim votes in the GE dismissed as "sectarian votes" we now get...

Israel is plotting to colonise Gaza.

This is all being openly discussed in the Israeli media.

It is a damning indictment that Israeli newspapers offer more details of what's actually happening than newspapers in, say, the US or UK.

Israeli media: Israel is plotting to colonise Gaza
The Western media keeps covering up Israel's crimes - but if you read Israel's newspapers, there is a different story.

One of the things that has been a struggle over the last year (with the exception of that 10 day period in Sept) is depicting how disproportionate this war is.

Israel has military dominance & near complete control of the skies. They strike at will & repeatedly.
We are already at the stage where Israel’s bombardments of Lebanon are so relentless and constant that they are no longer ‘newsworthy’

The ICC’s arrest warrants are long overdue.

The Prime Minister & Foreign Secretary must immediately endorse this decision. That is the bare minimum.

Will the UK government now, finally, honour its international obligations to prevent genocide and end all arms sales to Israel?

I have written probably more than anyone on this subject (hundreds of thousands of words) and the answer is that executives often have no idea what happens at their companies or what actual work looks like
I do not understand why, after remote work has been repeatedly proven to be just as productive (if not more so) than in-office work, people should be required to return to in-office work in order to justify the money the bosses spent on real estate.
Demanding that people go back to the office five days a week has been shown to punish staff who are lower-income, parents, and disabled. It is also not necessary for reporters and journalists who do much of their work in the field, on the phone, or on laptop computers that can be used anywhere.

We all need to become eco-populists. That means championing policies that significantly lower daily costs while lowering emissions. Heat Pumps for All, alongside much more robust tenant rights; free and better public transit; price caps on green energy; make polluters pay for the transition.
