I will not rest until I see that Worcester funds the Vic Mackey In A Hard Hat Program. If we just let them carry guns and make the pay commensurate the internal applications would come flying in. DPW union can poach the guys that make the police union powerful.. not seeing much downside here lol

You know what would be an extremely popular municipal program? Gang squad but for the DPW. An elite crew of operators sanctioned to go above and beyond and around the law to 'clean up the streets.' But they actually do that! They fix shit! Instead of shaking down black teenagers

Never been more 50/50 on a hyped band than geese. I love art rock and all its attendant bullshit, the new record checks a lot of those boxes academically, it’s cool to see a band like that be A Thing, they have a few riffs in there. But as music it’s annoying right? Like objectively

I always think the "fighting for us" language from Candy is interesting considering she has responded to ONE single issue email I've sent or question I've had in all the time I've lived in D2.

The "us" is very clearly not renters, younger folks, or those living downtown.

The majority of city councilors voted No to adopt the automatic fire sprinkler statute mandating fire sprinklers in major renovations for multi family buildings. That measure would have cost taxpayers $0, would have protected residents lives, made our housing stock safer and enhanced firefighter protections.

Zero cost to the City & taxpayers.

Yet, proposals to spend over $30,000 to buy drone technology that we already posses, moves forward at a time when our city budget is at the tightest it’s been, facing state and federal cuts.
