My Wimpy memories are more like that bit with Dudley as the short-order cook in Bedazzled. Condensation on the windows and a bogey on the cup handle.

Does anyone remember when some of the early UK McDonalds restaurants were considered somewhat 'posh'. The one near me was full of large leafy pot plants, low ambience muzak and Athena shop style framed prints on the walls. We're talking 1976/1977 ...

I know that he had another spell on radio in the mid 80s. I recall it being on Radio 2 but I could be wrong. It sticks in my head vividly as I phoned him up with a question about Executioner Pierrepoint.
