Today's Superman trailer made me realize how much I don't like the Snyder version! I mean Cavill was great, but just the wrong take on Superman for me.

Architecture has an interesting relationship with deadlines. More of a situationship. It's complicated.

Just b/c you're good at the game we have to play to live in this capitalist hellscape doesn't mean you like or agree with it.

Just watched the first episode of #onepiece. It's good. I think I'll watch 'em all. How long could that take!

A lot of us 80s kids feel like we parented ourselves. Now that I’m a dad I get why our parents didn’t give us any direction and let us run feral for the most part. Parenting is too damn hard and the ROI is terrible.

Anybody know Pedro Pascal? Like personally? My daughter would like him for Christmas. I'm not sure exactly what she means by that, but she's 18 now. So you know. Good luck to ya!

Korea Expert here. I’ll explain what’s going on over there because the Orient can be confusing to Westerners. In Korea, there is a concept known as “the law.” (법) This is a set of rules which are enforced to encourage prosocial behavior and ensure stability which leaders aren’t allowed to break.

Basically a human lifetime, then. I've noted before that the new rise of fascism neatly coincides with the departure of the generation that fought World War II. They were, to a great or lesser extent, the antibodies against fascism's most overt expression. They're out of our system now.
I think there's a sort of joke in among history nerds that history repeats itself on 80 year cycles or something like that. It...feels very true

I think if I had a fuckup son who I loved very much despite him being a fuckup, and his siblings and mother had died horribly, and he'd spent four years being targeted by fascists because of my job, and those fascists were going to be coming into power, and I could protect him from them, I would.
