One more tip about setting up automated builds is to have "iterative" and "clean" build configurations, with "iterative" being the one that pulls the latest changes on top of the existing local state, and the clean one being the one that wipes everything before each build.

Coming back to the topic of dev-ops and CI/CD,
our latest effort in making co-op sessions work through Steam, and using UE OnlineSubsystem has been made infinitely more convenient, just by being able to build and deploy a build with a couple of clicks.

One of the parts of game development often skipped/overlooked by the indie developers is a creation of a reliable CI/CD pipeline, which, in my experience, can save you a lot of headache as your project grows, and particularly if you have commercial aspirations.

Be careful when using Level Sequence with Binding Tags. The “Add Binding” call should be done before the “Play” call. Otherwise the level sequence will unnecessarily spawn a new actor during "Play" and then destroy it when the binding happens. #ue5 #gamedev

Some improvements for the arcade vehicle system made in UE5, including better suspension, tire dynamics.

I am making an open-wheeled vehicle since, albeit more difficult initially due to collision handling complexity, it will allow me to make various types of off-road vehicles in the future.

Another small teaser..
Still wobbly and shaky, but it will get there.. eventually :D

My goal is to make a minimal, yet versatile arcade vehicle implementation in UE5 using Chaos physics, for scratch.

I am also writing an article documenting the whole process as well as some tips and tricks.

One of the highlights of UE5 is the whole "Modeling Mode", especially in the context of whipping a quick prototype together to get a better sense of scale, without leaving the editor..
