Hello to all the new folks! I'm an illustrator from Germany and here's some of my art:

Another one of my ShortBox faves is 'Dream Loop' by @inkpangur.bsky.social . It's expressive, fun and captures that feeling of stressful dreams so accurately (Surprise exams and trips anyone?). I really love how the story ended, too.

'Song of the Seabirds' by @narsid.bsky.social is an absolute feast for the eyes, hands down one of the most beautiful comics I've ever read. The colors are radiant, every second page had my jaw on the floor, there's cool spreads full of seabirds and fish and a story of love, loss and memories.

"Summer of the Wondrous Salamander" by @ivyteas.bsky.social is a weird, whimsical masterpiece with attention to detail and smart, quirky choices on every page (in layouts, lettering and typography in particular). I never knew what was about to happen next and loved every bit of it. It's SO GOOD

It's today! "Despite, despite, despite" is out! The shortbox comic fair is live (October 1st to 31st) "Despite, despite, despite" is a 44 pages digital comic. A couple of little of little digs in a big city are going through a rough patch. Bug recently lost his job and Milo works to support them both Despite it all, they keep going. Today's destination? The supermarket. Preview page from the comic showing Bug under his covers on his phone. Milo is calling to him and eventually climbs onto the bed to kiss Bug on his cheek. Miło and Bug are in line at the pharmacy. In a near aisle Bug spots a pink poodle pharmacist helping a man put on his new arm brace.

ShortBox ends this friday and I HIGHLY recommend you get 'Despite, Despite, Despite' by @crypuppy.bsky.social ! It's sweet, heartfelt and the art and cute critters make it feel cozy and welcoming even when the characters have a (very relatable) rough time in this day and age.
