there's a lot of awareness for us natives today and since i, a deaf native artist, draw a lot of sign language in my art i wanted to share a fun 🧵 about it! a lot of it is native sign languages i grew up with like pisl, msl, and southwestern sign. although i do speak asl, it's not universal!
