The Phoenix Union High School District governing board unanimously adopted a resolution declaring its schools as safe zones from immigration enforcement. The action came as many families say they’re feeling fearful.
When we reflect back on a particular time in our lives and say, "it needed to happen" or "it happened the way it did because it was supposed to", I'm inclined to believe that coming to that place means we've learned something - with or without that intent. Being able to see that is also a gift.
