Sometimes you really feel hopeless when you see so many unnecessary road expansions, new suburban neighborhoods connected to nothing, and the constant stream of garbage chains popping up with large parking lots surrounding them. Will it ever stop?

While loading my bike up at the grocery store today a firefighter walked by and told me e-bikes are the best thing ever invented. He said he uses his for hunting. Always nice to hear how e-bikes benefit people even if they don't necessarily use them for getting around town.

Today while riding I had a large pickup truck with a trailer come up behind me on a somewhat curvy road. He hung back driving slowly and I decided to get off the road to let him pass. He gave me a little honk to say "thank you" as he went by. It's nice to be reminded of how decent people can be.

Who needs a car? Another fence project. That means more lumber. Hailing 3 8’ 4”x4” posts. Not a heavy load but awkward. Spent 15 mins. answering the yardman’s questions about the bike, trailer, lifestyle and economics related to being car free.
