Well this sounds like it would’ve been freaking awesome. Django Unchained Assassin’s Creed? What an inspired idea that sadly was cancelled because we have to listen to morons and their tender fee-fees.

Not me waxing about my dude after reading NPR's article about Southeast Asian resistance groups using the Straw Hat Pirate's flag as a banner to organize under.
"I don't care if you're a King or not! There's more important things than power!" "If you don't take risks, you can't create a future!" "I'll make a world where my friends can eat as much food as they want!" "If you hurt somebody… Or if somebody hurts you, the blood that flows Is still red." "I don't want to conquer anything. I just think the person with the most freedom on the oceans is the King of the Pirates." "I like heroes, but I never want to be one." Luffy constantly tears down corruption, evil, abuse, and tyranny. It is never from the stance of wanting to control or usurp something for himself. It is always because someone is suffering who has been stepped upon and abused, or seen as less than human. He's destroyed slave trades, toppled unjust Kings, and even fights against a corrupt government that wants to control what people see, hear, and read. He and the Straw Hats are a threat to a regime that wants to hide information and keep people from asking questions. He and others tirelessly fight to not let old men dictate how they live their lives, where individuals who are trans or seen as being undesirable are able to find "family" and joy. He's a fictional character among many others, but this is the sort of example more of us could learn from. I've been reading/watching One Piece since 2000, and I'm still learning more about the world and what it means to be "free" even after all these years. "No one gets to laugh at someone's dream!"
