I doubt they're in existing contracts but they will likely be in future ones. That said they probably have a "must be approved" clause that lets them have veto power.

They seem to be pretty loose with what the game is as long as the game fits their IP

I mean I haven't played it since the Gameboy Color came out but I knew about it.

I don't have nostaligia for that generation, but there are some good designs there.

Oh, you never heard of the 1/256 glitch from Gen 1.

He is definitely one of the chompiest bois

Sorry but that's a 1/256 miss.

All three of the starters are well designed. Not well balanced but they all look good.

Based on their recent financials they aren't hurting themselves as much as we like to think. At worst they are just leaving money on the table.

They have their moments. Yeeeeears ago they restricted online sales to stores that had physical locations to ensure wholesalers wouldn't undermine their FLGS partners through steep discounts.

It relaxed over time but that was a decent effort to try and do something right.

The shitpost runs strong in me as does the urge to make stupid jokes.

I usually keep those to visual jokes on screen so anyone who pays attention to the video gets a bonus but I do get tempted to insert clips and sounds like people who actually know how to edit videos do.

Completely fair take. The fact WFB revolves around squishy normal people is definitely an appeal.

Honestly them being so open to license is a good thing. Sure it means we can get slop but they aren't afraid to let people play with their toys which is better than a lot of IP holders.
