First pic. Apparently this is beautiful, in Valletta next to the ruined opera house.
Second pic. We stayed in the Grand Excelsior Valletta, earlier this month, faded elegance (room decor a little tired but spotless), lovely food and staff, lovely situation overlooking Manoel island.
