Bennie Thompson on Noem: "Her arrival was short lived. She left in the middle of the hearing ostensibly to go to another meeting. We found that the meeting had been canceled, so she could've stayed. But nonetheless, we're not surprised, because this is who she is."

Apparently we’ve established that if the US can seize the largest tanker off Venezuela, it can just as easily seize a small, alleged drug boat without murdering the occupants.

If we can't even get rid of this president, who is clearly criminally insane, how in the world will we deal with the next one?

This should be the biggest story in the country right now. The sitting US President was extorting state lawmakers from his own party by threatening to withhold public money if they didn’t gerrymander for him.

I don’t know how else to say it…

🚨We are less than 11 months into this administration. People are still arguing on this platform that ICE is only going after “criminals.” Hate is the why and love is not the solution.

“He is not unstoppable and you are not without power”

Remind yourself of this every day.

Especially on the bad days.
Buttigieg on Indiana: "The big part of how Trumpism works is to make you feel totally disempowered. To make him feel inevitable. And yet the clear takeaway from this is he is not unstoppable and you are not without power."

I’ve heard from immigration attorneys that clients say ICE guards lay out the WRAP device (essentially a full-body straitjacket) on the tarmac as a threat — “do what we say or you’re getting the WRAP on the whole flight.”

😥 An unprecedented number of AZ’s neighborhood public schools are being forced to close at an alarming rate, spurred by chronic underfunding and AZ’s universal ESA voucher fiasco.

Why do Arizona public schools keep closing?
Aging neighborhoods and declining birth rates are often cited as contributing factors to declining school enrollment across Arizona. But some public school advocates are advocating for more funding.
