Never forget that Republicans in congress could stop this anytime they want. For one thing, “high crimes and misdemeanors” means whatever they want it to mean. And, less radically, they could just pass a law reclaiming their tariff powers. Every single one of them is complicit.

This fabulous little bird is a Long-tailed Silky Flycatcher. Despite the name, they mostly eat berries and forage for insects when they are feeding chicks. They are thought to be related to waxwings and used to be grouped in the same family. 🪶

A bird with a yellow head and crest, gray on the upper body and wing covert and darker gray on the flight feathers and tail, with more yellow on the bellow. It is perched in a tree that has fine, thin green leaves.
