Congratulations on finally getting to wear a cap, Mike. I always knew you had it in you.

Or on you, rather.

Concern here is not so much risk to government or Hydro or ratepayers, but to Indigenous communities.

It’s not clear what oversight (AMC? new Crown-Indigenous corp?) exists to ensure financial benefits flow to Indigenous communities who partner up with non-Indigenous companies.

That’s not new. Kinew government announced this in 2024.

It objected to Stefanson-era plan to buy power from private wind farms.

It replaced that with Indigenous-led wind power companies. Must be 51% Indigenous owned.

I deleted the post because I am not an expert and you seem very upset.

Please be aware I posted in good faith based on what I read in legitimate sources about the way it is most commonly transmitted.

Please consider your tone in the future. This is not X. Thank you.

An oral history of that place would be interesting.

I’m not the right candidate for that job. I barely remember my frequent early ‘90s visits.

My colleague Joanne Levasseur did most of the research on this one. My byline goes first when I write the actual story, but to be clear, I’m riding shotgun on most of this work.
