I do what and where I can, but quite more often than not that results in taking action that is not super visible or immediately impactful; except that which I can offer people near me directly.

I get similar tossed at me for other issues I am against but here's the rub.
I can't even go visit my mom without knowing where I can take emergency restroom stops while on the way there if needed. Physical shit; quite literally too.

This entire thing is a gigantic catch-22 when it comes to situations like this.
If you're not doing anything, you're seen as complicit.
If you're not doing anything visible enough, you're not seen as doing anything so you're seen as complicit.

That means that they'll be paying not just for commercial use of my work, but also for the permission to alter it after.
Those are all, legally speaking, different rights that have to be separately negotiated.

I mean... I'm not an artist myself but if I were and I had a client who told me they'd go ai for their stuff and then came back because it didn't get what they wanted, I will assume that when they get their thing from me they'll feed that through the same for new iterations.

Like that's going to stop someone who is already ignoring an obvious majority screaming at him face to face.

It does take a lot of crazy and guts to intimidate an entire bus full of mostly adults to be so compliant they didn't even just call 911 and screw whose jurisdiction it is. And instead just keep trying to convince the obviously unhinged bus driver with phone calls to his boss.

Although, if I'm going to be completely honest, I'm quite surprised nobody actually pulled the driver out of his seat.
It takes one person to hold the wheel steady and one to yank the dude out of his spot.
After that the brakes are in the same spot as any other vehicle.

The sad thing is that this means that the show runners had a show that people genuinely cared about.
