When this was announced originally I wanted this to be good healthy competition to push Splatoon to be better but it really didn't happen. Can't express how baffling the AI art decision was, without that a lot of Splatoon players would prolly give it a shot. Doubt we'll see another.
Square Enix announced they are ending season update support for Foamstars after January 17th 2025.
Foamstars was supported for about 1 year.
This game just couldn't shake the "Not Splatoon" cloud.

I think the biggest hurdle I need to overcome after my burnout is my perfectionism
I'm pathologically stuck feeling like everything I do has to live up to or exceed, everything I have already done

The Game Boy Advance SP design is perfect, not just because it's very portable, but because its flip phone style means that if you're not doing well at Pokémon Fire Red or whatever, you can just angrily hang up on it.
