Mom and uncle were playing in their new backyard, 1949. Dad was visiting the kids on the other side of the fence and all the kids met. They were 10.
Yall ever asked your parents how they met? What’s your origin story?

There were 10 murders in New Orleans in November and 108 so far in 2025. That's the second fewest through November since 1970 and the city is on pace for 117 in 2025 which would be the fewest in a year since 1970.

One thing about spending time with the aged. There is no rushing. You can be hurrying to get to them but once you're there you have to completely readjust. Currently trying to get my momma to an appointment and it's full stop here

Louisiana took months to sound alarm after two babies died in whooping cough outbreak
By Rosemary Westwood, WWNO When there’s an outbreak of a vaccine-preventable disease, state health officials typically take certain steps to alert residents and issue public updates about the growing threat. That’s standard practice, public health and infectious disease experts told KFF Health News and NPR. The goal is to keep as many other vulnerable people as possible from getting sick and to remind the public about the benefits of vaccinations. But in Louisiana this year, public health officials appeared to have not followed that playbook during the state’s worst whooping cough outbreak in 35 years.

Now that I can stop and catch my breath... This month has been a lot. Good news is Mom is recovering and her spirits are good. Funny news is that the 21 year old niece tried to lecture me on how to use social media.

I sat down with data wiz @jeffasher.bsky.social to talk about how and why people think about crime in New Orleans, particularly the disconnect between what’s really happening and the fear a lot of people have. Here’s the Spotify link

"Mississippi had at this time annulled its laws regulating medical
