If you think you can't win, I need you to know that you are wrong.
If you think that it isn't in you, I want to assure you that it is.
If you think you aren’t smart enough or have enough talents, you do. In fact,
Whatever it is, you can do it. You can.
You will. Go do it.

Oh that looks amazing!

Similar story for me.

Chickens can be such assholes to each other too. I learned what the "pecking order" was when I was a kid on a small farm.

I love seeing this stuff:

"Ballerina Aesha Ash wandering around inner city Rochester breaking the stereotypes about women of color and to inspire young kids."
its a picture of a ballerina teaching future young ballerinas!!!

I've experienced some frustrations with their stuff too

I'd love to be surprised by a strong leadership driven commitment to growing the Maker community outreach aspects of their products though. There's great stuff that we could be playing with and building new products out of if it wasn't so hard

I've been working on a book proposal and alternating between "this is meaningful" and "this is pointless," and a friend recently shared this quote that she stumble on in a Goodreads review: "Every book is a grand gesture of optimism on the part of both the reader and writer." Keep creating, friends.

I'm not optimistic... :-/

I work on equipment that goes in airports and regularly interact with folks who work there; this is a fantastic thread:

A life update: this wound up paying off. I'm still applying to several jobs that are hopefully careers, but I've got my survival needs covered by a job at the airport that I'm apparently pretty good at.

And instead of being in an office alone, which was driving me mad, I see 20k people a day.

There is a line around this building to get to the line entrance to wait to get into this job fair.

At the airport. For airport jobs.

13) This isn't news to me, but the manosphere complaint that "you can't compliment anyone anymore!" is bullshit.

I compliment people constantly, all day, and get warm smiles and heartfelt thanks and watch people walk away in a better mood. The secret is not being a gross creep about it.

Hear ye hear ye a message of hope and inspiration from our courageous leader in exile, Link. May all his loyal followers take heart!
I appreciate all the people showing love and support to me. I’m so grateful honestly. It means a lot. The ban isn’t that big of a deal for me. I think it was wrong and the explanation was bullshit. But that’s ok and I accept. Social media comes and goes. I’m grateful for all the connections I was able to make and all the people I get to be connected with off Bluesky. More importantly, the world needs more people to give a fuck. More people to give a fuck about Palestinians, more people to give a fuck about disabled folks, more people to give a fuck about our queer and trans siblings, more people to give a fuck about Black liberation. The world, and Bluesky, is full of bootlickers who will do anything to avoid doing anything to upset the status quo. These people are cowards groveling to those in power in hopes of protection. I just hope people continue to show love and care and kindness. Mutual aid is so important. Give when you can, boost when you can. We only survive this together.

So many people trying to paint them as a serious threat in order to justify their various inactions as they allowed some idiots to take over a country and run rampant until it was far, far too late and then suddenly realizing that they really need to do something.

In Normandy, once American infantry squads discovered a bazooka shot to the rear of a Panther or Tiger was basically a kill shot, they got so excited they often had to be restrained by their officers to not chase after them when they retreated
