North played in a prelim, a couple of years later traded out a bunch of experience, and then had a few years of pain. AFL gave them a very nice assistance package. So I can see why Weagles are asking for something similar. Don't think they'll get it this year, unless Harley goes.

ABC reporter who flew on an aerial food drop into Gaza sd Israeli authorities forbad aerial photography because the shots wd illustrate the extent of damage to region.

Israel has barred foreign journalists from Gaza while its IDF knocks off as many Gazan journalists as it can get in its sights.

Trump's declaration to release the Epstein grand jury testimony is more prevarication. Pay attention to what he said in his statement. The word "pertinent" hangs heavily.

There's no chance anything relating to Trump will be in the curated testimony Bondi releases.

And it isn't the 'files'.

I hope the Lattouf decision gives other board members decision makers around the country serious pause in the future.
Political opinions are still legal in this country. Facts and criticism about horrific human rights violations should be supported, not punished.

🚨 New item quietly added to the CDC ACIP agenda: a vote on thimerosal in flu shots.

Let's talk about why this worries us 🧵

TL;DR: Thimerosal is safe. This debate was settled decades ago. Reopening it signals a shift toward disinfo-driven policy...and that’s dangerous.

A newly posted agenda for next week’s meeting of the just-appointed group of outside vaccine advisers to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention includes a discussion and vote on thimerosal ...

Under "Amoco" - might want to consider saying "petrol (gas) stations" for our American friends.

At least 1916 ALP/Greens voters preferenced Wilson.

Likely ALP/Greens preferences would be closer to 2500 (will find this out at some point). More than 10% of ALP/Greens voters for some reason figured Wilson would be a better representative than Zoe Daniel.

Hard to fathom.

Goldstein.

First preferences to centre/left leaning (Zoe Daniel, ALP, Greens): 59665 votes.

First preferences to right leaning (Tim Wilson, ONP, ToP, Libertarian): 56008.

If preferences went 100% as expected, Daniel would have won by 3657 votes. Instead loses by just 175.

AEC just updated - Wilson by 128, but 86 envelopes still to process.

Or LNP could form coalition with either Libs or Nats to become the opposition. Imagine that - LNP and Nats form opposition and the Libs sit on the sidelines!

Or LNP could split, with some going to Libs, some to Nats, and then, I got no idea how it ends up.
bletch.bsky.social
As it stands:

Liberal 18 seats
Liberal National (QLD) 16 seats
National 9 seats
CLP (NT) 0 seats

If the coalition completely breaks, then Libs become the opposition with 18 members - everyone gets a portfolio!!

So what happens with the LNP in QLD?

Around 3000 envelopes haven't been returned (again according to AEC), and today is last day for them to be received. Best hope is that a big chunk of that 3000 get delivered to AEC in the remaining few hours.

The variance in the Caulfield south booth voting is wild. 2 booths heavily favour Zoe, the other two just as heavy in favour of Timmy. Elsternwick booths favour Zoe, though there has been a swing away in one booth.

Yep, was looking at this, which I can only assume is the best indication of what votes are left. But would be very happy if there's more. I'm in Goldstein, and Libs have spent a fortune on getting Wilson re-elected, would be hilarious if it all backfires.
