This is my 5 year old grand niece with a toy bucket over her face and a toy lap top on her lap there is a toy cell phone in the bucket. She is playing VR like her older brother. She keeps yelling "Bro! Shoot him he's killing me!" Pretty obvious we're related. *grins*

A reminder that there are communities like disability justice communities, BIPOC activists, farm workers, etc. who have been doing organizing work for DECADES and know the strategies that work. Find those organizers. Learn from and work with them, rather than starting from scratch.
The funding for these long COVID research grants was given back bc disability activists urged us to contact our reps persistently, in high volume, and we did. Remember that these tactics work the next time someone tries to get you to passively react instead of taking an active part in organizing!

I forgot to eat supper at about 2 am I awoke to my dexcom alarm. My blood sugar had already dropped to 60 so I tried to eat but still "zombified" what I call it when my sugar level drops to far to think clearly. Took me 5 minutes to call for help. They got to me and got my sugar up, was a close one.

Today would have been my friend Val Brisco's 61st birthday. But she died a few months ago from heart failure. It's got me sad today missing her. She was such a good person kind and generous. I'm glad she lived long enough to see me get my transplant, she supported me so much thru those years.
