Any time corporate executives are in a room together and don't know they're being recorded, the transcript is like: "Christ, I hate our customers. We're agreed that we all hate our customers? Let's lie to the IRS, criminally. Did I mention the Holocaust never happened? Put more lead in our soda."

I understand why people are upset about The Atlantic devoting so many words to RFK Jr and I certainly look forward to a time when nobody listens to him about anything, but as someone who read the piece, I assure you, it does not flatter him.

Time to sweep the house for surveillance equipment again.
Twitter accounts are based in Russia. BlueSky accounts are based in homes with, frankly, too many books, plants, obsolete cables, and pieces of rustic pottery, that could do with a bit of a tidying up, to be honest.

Thinking about this concept structure for a lot of reasons, right now
“queer not as being about who you’re having sex with (that can be a dimension of it); but queer as being about the self that is at odds with everything around it and has to invent and create and find a place to speak and to thrive and to live.” -bell hooks

Remember Andrew Wakefield?
Here he is with his friend RFK Jr. in 2020.

Wakefield is the guy behind the fraudulent, retracted MMR–autism study. He lost his medical license for subjecting autistic children to unnecessary invasive procedures.

Now, with Kennedy in power, he’s getting a second act.

I love that the judge cited Aileen Cannon's ruling tossing Trump's classified documents charges. If Cannon can toss those charges based on her finding that Jack Smith was unlawfully appointed, what else is Judge Currie to do but toss cases brought by Lindsey Halligan, ALSO unlawfully appointed?

ICE is trapping people in abusive relationships, and more generally, making immigrants afraid to assert legal rights and ask for help that they are very much entitled to. (Noting that this is not new, for example there's history of agricultural workers threatened with la migra for speaking out!)
How ICE’s Crackdown Hurts Immigrant Victims of Domestic Violence
Increased enforcement and Trump’s policy changes are causing some people to remain in abusive relationships rather than risk deportation, experts say.

I'm not a huge fan of Mark Kelly as a senator (& I'm not Arizonan so my feelings about him as a senator are largely moot), but attacking him in any terms regarding his patriotism, military experience/knowledge, or commitment to service seems ridiculously poorly thought out, to put it mildly.

They're demanding, among other things, sewage removal and heat and electricity restroration.
