Till the End of the Moon has its flaws but something like it. The constant high stakes tension between the leads with some calmer moments here and there.

Nan Xuyue, #TheBlossomingLove

Such an interesting and well-acted character, Wang Duo was great in this role. I loved this drama, but I could've watched a whole separate one focused more on him. His relationship with Mu Xuanling was just as compelling as the main couple.

Lin Qile (Yingtao), #OurGeneration

I love that she pursued love and friendship with such bravery. That she was unwavering in her loyalty to those she cared about but she learned over time to value herself as well. She's the knight and the heroine of her story.

The use of the circular windows and doorways in #TheGlory really stood out to me.

And the way they shot one of the scenes at the memorial in the forest, as if someone was peeking at the characters from behind the trees and bamboo.
It's as if the camera is standing a foot away from a circular glassless window. There are two orb shaped lamps, one on each side of the window, out of focus because the focus is on the subjects outside the window. Ruan Xiwen and her personal maid stand far off in the distance pleading at the door of a room across the courtyard. Ruan Xiwen is perfectly placed in the center of the circular window. A blurry Hanyan and her personal maid standing in front of a circular doorway in the courtyard. Through the doorway, in focus, are stone stairs leading up to the main entrance where the doors are open and (about 30 yards away) Fu Yunxi stands outside the home looking at Hanyan. He is perfectly placed in the center of the shot. Shot from the perspective of someone hiding in the woods, behind tall bamboo and trees, watching Hanyan and Fu Yunxi from about twenty yards away. Day 1: Which country’s dramas did you watch the most?

Most of the newer dramas I watched this year were cdramas. When I wanted to watch something older though, I tended to gravitate more towards kdramas, before Viki got rid of most of them ☹️.
