trying to be more normal
i will say one of the many positives of bluesky over twitter is that it seems way less people do that speculating over celebrities' politics thing that doesn't really amount to anything

maybe just maybe constantly hearing the politics of older nihilistic leftists as a teen is what helped deteriorate my mental health

Just a reminder that at least 600 Americans were fired for failing to show sufficient respect after Charlie Kirk's murder.
utterly incapable of grace

remember how on the other site there is always one post about how genuinely hilarious he is despite everything
this is one of the most psychotic things Trump has ever posted

this is genuinely so embarrassing and to me why so many leftists fail to get anywhere
Some people are very determined to bring back the R-slur.

If you don't already agree that there's a moral panic over transgender care, just read the New York Times' articles on hormone therapy for cis people and compare them to their hit pieces on the hormone therapy for trans people.

I feel like a lot of our political moment stems down to tens of millions of Americans literally incapable of imagining something worse than someone being annoying.

the sad part is i don't even think the phrase "nuke their finances" is particularly malicious but i think people tend to read malice into these kinds of posts
i'm sorry, but if you think voters should avoid the consequences of what they voted for, you don't actually believe in democratic accountability: Trump ran on tariffs. They are getting tariffs. Voters will learn that tariffs are bad.
The difference between liberals and socialists is that socialists don't want to "nuke the finances" of delivery drivers

If I delete my account here it will be because of accounts like this- I've honestly tried to keep posts like this off my timeline but it doesn't work

I mean, what is sort of absurd about this whole endless debate is that "whether liberals are nice or mean about it" is actually pretty irrelevant to the question of how Trump's economic policies are going to play out. It's just tone policing.

because people naively think that if someone isn't rich or a politician then they must be ideologically pure like a newborn baby
we can all accept and understand that when rich people are insulated from the consequences of their actions that they become insane and the systems that they participate in become terrible and broken. i don't know why people think this principle does not apply to regular voters.
