Trying to resist painting my face with woad and hitting the Dollar Store as the locals get excited about the TPUSA club at the high school. It’s all the mudsill ideas of the last two+ centuries dressed up as benevolent common sense and sitting in the front pew of First Baptist Church. Jesus wept.

Trying to resist painting my face with woad and hitting the Dollar Store as the locals get excited about the TPUSA club at the high school. It’s all the mudsill ideas of the last two+ centuries dressed up as benevolent common sense and sitting in the front pew of First Baptist Church. Jesus wept.
As blue dots speak up here locally, we are met with threats and vile hatred. The whole spectacle is framed as “a few agitators who must be shut out.” Silencing our voices is framed as “getting the community back into order.” FB and the red-hat circle-jerk at the coffee shop perpetuate the hate.

In my little county, where over 90% voted red in 2024, blue dots are as scarce as hen’s teeth, and mostly silent. Threats of violence do not get taken down on FB and prominent business owners feel safe in spewing hate publicly. People are scared on both sides now, showing their true colors.
