Over time, they no longer just doubt themselves—they lose the ability to perceive reality at all without the abuser defining it for them. A cult of one does not need chains—the prison exists in the mind. The victim stops questioning, stops resisting, and ultimately, stops existing as an independent person. These are the same coercive strategies used in Pathological Societal Abuse (PSA).
