Well on the bright side, we get to cover a new type of team now. We’ve covered mediocre, true contender, rebuild, transition to competitor, and now fall from grace.

Just missing the Cup champs.

Sorta. There's one (Ripple) that's trying to a competitor to the traditional SWIFT method of FX transactions. I went down a rabbit hole on that one because it actually looked like it could be useful at some point.

I haven't seen any others that try to have use tho.

Crypto is funny to me. I can see how some of it can be useful, but typical greed turned 99% of it into a scam.

I thought of that too, but in all fairness we really don’t know what’s going on with him and that situation

This, from @thergmedia.bsky.social, both makes sense and is surprising. I assumed Panarin would stay in the US.

Ultimately, NYR need a hell of a lot more from Miller. This is a bad look after an awful shift by all 5 guys; Vally rightfully called out all 5 on the postgame show, specifically for losing the board battle that led to this goal. But context is important here because JT isn’t a guy who dogs it.

I have no idea if trading Kreider was the right move for #NYR since I don't know what was going on behind the scenes.

What I do know is trading him after his worst season when he was hurt/vertigo wasn't good asset management.

Plus NYR never replaced his scoring.

The first three are easy and would have saved $6 million. Getting Borgen to $3.5m instead of $4.1m, which is still 50% above market value at that point, gets #NYR to the $6.5m Kreider cap hit.

Waive Robertson/demote Morrow, recall Perreault, you have 13/7/2 and (I believe) cap compliant.
